Life-Size Unicorn Gundam Enters Final Days With “Beyond Possibility” Special Video Starting August 22
The countdown to the end of the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue has officially begun, and Bandai Namco is giving fans one final spectacular show before the iconic statue leaves DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.
As part of the finale project, a special video titled “UNICORN GUNDAM Statue ― BEYOND POSSIBILITY ―” will be screened for just 10 days, from August 22 to August 31, 2026. The presentation will synchronize the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue with the WALL-G video projection system on the walls of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.
The special performance will take place at 2F Festival Square, giving fans one last chance to see the Unicorn Gundam come alive alongside a new visual presentation before the statue is taken off display on August 31.
The finale schedule will begin each evening at 7:00 p.m., with several Gundam presentations leading up to the new “BEYOND POSSIBILITY” video at 8:00 p.m.

The performances may be changed or canceled due to weather or operational conditions.
The finale is not limited to the nightly performances.
Starting August 10, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza will also launch a special hologram sticker giveaway celebrating the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue. Fans who spend 3,000 yen or more, including tax, in a single transaction at participating stores can present their receipt at the designated exchange location to receive a special hologram sticker.
There are also several Unicorn Gundam attractions running around THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO and its Annex.
At THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO ANNEX, fans can see panels looking back at the history of the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue, along with a diorama of the statue. Message boards have also been placed at THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO and the GUNDAM Café food truck, giving fans a chance to leave their own messages before the statue's departure.
The GUNDAM Café food truck is also getting in on the farewell celebration with its Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue Shaved Ice, priced at 1,130 yen including tax and served with an original cup sleeve.
Fans who purchase an item at the food truck will also receive a Unicorn Gundam headband, with one headband given per purchased item. The campaign encourages fans to wear the headband while taking photos with the life-size Unicorn Gundam.
The food truck will be located around the Tokyo Teleport Station gate at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza through August 12 before moving to the Festival Plaza on the second floor from August 13.
After nearly a decade as one of Tokyo's most recognizable Gundam landmarks, the life-size Unicorn Gundam is now approaching its final days at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.
For Gundam fans, the 10-day “BEYOND POSSIBILITY” presentation could be the last chance to experience the statue with a brand-new special performance before it disappears from the plaza.
