Sakura Miko’s Pink Nu Gundam Joins METAL ROBOT SPIRITS in New hololive Collab
Gundam fans and hololive viewers are about to get one very pink surprise.
Bandai has announced a special collaboration between Mobile Suit Gundam and hololive production, giving the legendary Nu Gundam a brand-new look inspired by hololive’s popular virtual idol, Sakura Miko.
The result is the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> Nu Gundam [Sakura Miko Ver.], and it is certainly not the usual white-and-blue mobile suit that Amuro Ray piloted in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.
This special version gives the Nu Gundam a colorful collaboration design, complete with exclusive markings on the shield and other parts. The METAL ROBOT SPIRITS release also uses die-cast metal parts, particularly around the joints, giving the approximately 150mm mobile suit a satisfyingly premium feel.
And yes, the Fin Funnels are here too.
The Sakura Miko Ver. includes all six Fin Funnels, along with display parts and support pillars for setting them up around the Nu Gundam. The set also comes packed with the beam rifle, two types of beam sabers, saber effect parts, shield, interchangeable hands, and a New Hyper Bazooka.
A special display stand designed specifically for METAL ROBOT SPIRITS is also included, giving this unusual collaboration release its own proper stage.
The METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> Nu Gundam [Sakura Miko Ver.] will be sold through Tamashii Web Shop in Japan for 24,200 yen, with reservations scheduled to begin on August 27, 2026. Shipping is planned for January 2027.
The Nu Gundam has appeared in countless variations over the years, but a Sakura Miko collaboration version is definitely one of the more unexpected ones.
