Hoshimachi Suisei’s Sazabi Joins METAL ROBOT SPIRITS in New hololive Collab
Char Aznable’s massive red Sazabi is getting a very different kind of collaboration makeover.
Following the announcement of Sakura Miko’s special Nu Gundam, Bandai has also revealed the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> Sazabi [Hoshimachi Suisei Ver.], another special release from the new GUNDAM x hololive production collaboration.
This time, the mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack takes inspiration from hololive star Hoshimachi Suisei, giving Char’s iconic Sazabi a special collaboration color scheme along with exclusive markings on its shield and other parts.
The release stands approximately 160mm tall and uses ABS, PVC, and die-cast metal. Die-cast parts are used mainly around the joints, giving the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS release some extra weight while keeping the mobile suit fully poseable.
And the Sazabi comes loaded.
The set includes the Beam Shot Rifle, Shield, Beam Tomahawk, six deployed Funnels, interchangeable hands, and effect parts for both the Beam Saber and Beam Tomahawk. Display parts for the six Funnels are also included, allowing fans to recreate the Sazabi surrounded by its remote weapons.
A dedicated support stand and base set are also included, giving Hoshimachi Suisei’s version of the Sazabi its own special display setup.
The METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> Sazabi [Hoshimachi Suisei Ver.] will be sold through Tamashii Web Shop in Japan for 28,600 yen. Reservations are scheduled to begin on August 27, 2026, with shipping planned for January 2027.
With Sakura Miko getting the Nu Gundam and Hoshimachi Suisei taking command of the Sazabi, the legendary showdown from Char’s Counterattack is getting a hololive twist.
Now fans can finally put the two collaboration mobile suits side by side and imagine a battle that probably sounds very different from anything Amuro and Char had in mind.
