MGSD 00 Raiser Takes Off in March 2027

The next mobile suit joining the MGSD lineup is ready to fire up its Twin Drive System. Bandai has officially revealed the MGSD 00 Raiser, bringing one of Mobile Suit Gundam 00’s most popular mobile suits into the Master Grade SD series.

The GN-0000 00 Gundam was Celestial Being’s first mobile suit equipped with the Twin Drive System, using two original GN Drives synchronized to generate an enormous amount of GN Particle output. The system was incredibly powerful, but it came with one major problem. The 00 could not fully stabilize the Twin Drive System on its own, especially when activating Trans-Am.

That is where the 0 Raiser came in.

Designed as a dedicated support machine for the 00, the 0 Raiser could dock with the Gundam to form 00 Raiser, stabilizing the Twin Drive System and allowing its full performance to be unleashed. The combination was so powerful that its capabilities went beyond what had previously been expected from a Gundam.

Now, 00 Raiser is getting the MGSD treatment, combining its recognizable design with the dense mechanical detail and articulation that have become a major part of the series.

The kit recreates both the 00 Gundam and its combination with the 0 Raiser, while MGSD's unique frame structure allows the internal mechanics to be reproduced within its compact SD proportions. The result is a kit that packs plenty of mechanical detail into its smaller size while still maintaining a wide range of movement across its various parts.

The Twin Drive System is also getting some MGSD-exclusive attention. The GN Drives mounted on the shoulders feature original gimmicks that allow them to rotate and expose their clear parts, adding another layer of mechanical movement to the kit.

The O-Raiser also gets its own bit of engineering, featuring a reflection-cut exposure gimmick designed to give its clear parts additional visual detail.

Even the smaller lens parts have not been overlooked. Components such as the GN capacitors feature precise molded details, including engraved lettering.

As for its equipment, the MGSD 00 Raiser comes loaded with two GN Sword IIs, the massive GN Sword III, two GN Shields, and two GN Beam Sabers. Dedicated beam effect parts are also included for both the GN Sword II and GN Sword III.

The GN Sword II and GN Shield can also be connected through their recreated connection gimmick, allowing us to display the equipment in its combined configuration.

With its combination gimmick, newly designed shoulder-mounted GN Drive features, detailed internal frame, and a full loadout of equipment, the MGSD 00 Raiser looks ready to give one of Gundam 00’s most recognizable mobile suits the compact but highly detailed treatment the series has become known for.

And with Gundam 00 celebrating its 20th anniversary, the timing for 00 Raiser to join the MGSD lineup could not be much better.
