P-Bandai HGUC Gouf Flight Type Returns for The 08th MS Team’s 30th Anniversary

The P-Bandai HGUC 1/144 Gouf Flight Type is returning in February 2027, giving fans another chance to add one of the most distinctive mobile suits seen in Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team to their collection.

The MS-07H-8 Gouf Flight Type was developed to solve one of Zeon's major problems during its Earth invasion: the slow deployment of mobile suits across the battlefield. Early attempts at aerial mobile suits ended with the destruction of the MS-07H-4 Gouf Flight Test Type and the death of its pilot, 2nd Lt. Frank Bernard. Although the program was officially terminated, engineers at Side 3 continued the research and eventually developed the MS-07H-8 with practical flight capability.

The HGUC kit uses new molding throughout to reproduce the Gouf's flight-oriented modifications. Its head, shoulders, chest, enlarged backpack, waist armor, stabilizers, and legs are all specifically designed around its aerial role.

The chest features a newly molded cockpit hatch based on the Gouf Custom, complete with clear parts. The enlarged backpack includes movable left and right stabilizers, while the waist features new power pipes, rear thrusters, stabilizing wings, and a movable stabilizer beneath the side armor.

The most distinctive feature is its legs, which house thermonuclear jet engines. New parts recreate the leg intakes, jet engine sections, and propulsion nozzles with detailed color separation. The entire mobile suit is reproduced in its characteristic German gray color scheme.

The Gouf Flight Type also comes equipped with its signature armament, including a Gatling shield, triple 35mm Gatling gun, and Heat Saber. Based on the HGUC Gouf Custom, the kit offers a wide range of articulation for dynamic poses inspired by its appearance in the anime.

Originally released in May 2018, the Gouf Flight Type will return as a Premium Bandai reissue in February 2027.
