RG 1/144 MSN-04FF Sazabi Comes to U.S. Premium Bandai for September 2026 Release

The RG 1/144 MSN-04FF Sazabi is coming to U.S. Premium Bandai this September, bringing one of the most unusual Sazabi variants from the GUNDAM SIDE-F project to collectors in the United States.

The MSN-04FF Sazabi was designed for the special video presentation accompanying the life-size RX-93ff ν Gundam statue at GUNDAM SIDE-F in Fukuoka. Unlike the standard Sazabi, this version is equipped with a pair of massive Double Horn Funnels, giving Char Aznable’s mobile suit a completely different look.

The Double Horn Funnels are the centerpiece of the RG kit. Bandai recreated them with newly designed parts that can be deployed into their launch configuration or mounted directly onto the Sazabi's arms. They can also be displayed individually or connected together to recreate their flight form.

The kit goes further with special effect parts for the Double Horn Funnel's saber, along with saber effects that can be attached to the Long Range Fin Funnel of the RG 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam, which is sold separately. An Action Base 5 is also included, allowing the Double Horn Funnels to be displayed connected together.

The Sazabi itself features details designed around the MSN-04FF version, including its arm cylinders, funnels, verniers, and backpack. Bandai also incorporated deployment mechanisms into propulsion-related sections, while new realistic decals add additional surface detail to the finished kit.

Originally released at GUNDAM SIDE-F in Fukuoka on April 22, 2023, the RG MSN-04FF Sazabi was created to commemorate the first anniversary of the facility. It was later made available through additional official Gundam channels.

Now, the RG MSN-04FF Sazabi is headed to U.S. Premium Bandai for US$107.00, with shipping scheduled for September 2026.

Pre-orders opened on August 11, 2026 at 8:00 PM EDT and will close on August 24, 2026 at 2:59 AM EDT.

For fans who already have the RG RX-93ff ν Gundam, this release is especially interesting. The two kits were designed as counterparts for the Fukuoka project, and the Sazabi's Double Horn Funnels can even use effect parts designed to interact with the ν Gundam's Long Range Fin Funnel.
