KATOKI’S ENHANCED ZZ GUNDAM JOINS METAL ROBOT SPIRITS

The ZZ Gundam received a major upgrade near the end of the First Neo Zeon War, becoming the Enhanced ZZ Gundam with a stronger focus on mobility and overall performance. Additional armor increased its weight, so the mobile suit was fitted with upgraded shoulder binders, enhanced body thrusters, rear leg thrust packs, and a larger backpack equipped with four new thermonuclear engines.

Its missile systems were also redesigned. The original backpack launchers were replaced with two 18-tube units, with each launcher capable of carrying two missiles per tube for heavier firepower. The added armor also received a fluorine-resin beam-resistant coating, allowing it to endure low-power beam attacks for several seconds.

The upgrades eventually led to the Full Armor ZZ Gundam, with Anaheim Electronics adding further external armor and weaponry based partly on technology tested with the FAZZ.

Now, the Enhanced ZZ Gundam is joining the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS (Ka signature) lineup under the supervision of Hajime Katoki. The figure stands approximately 150mm tall and uses die-cast metal in key areas, including the joints, alongside detailed sculpting and coloring.

The figure can transform into G-Fortress form and can also be combined with the separately sold Full Armor Parts Set to recreate the Full Armor ZZ Gundam.

Included accessories consist of two Hyper Beam Sabers with effect parts, a Double Beam Rifle, interchangeable antenna parts, four pairs of interchangeable hands, joint parts, and a dedicated display stand.
