METAL ROBOT SPIRITS nu Gundam HWS Parts & Display Set Releases in March 2027
The METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> nu Gundam is getting a much heavier loadout with a new HWS Parts & Display Set scheduled for release in March 2027.
Priced at 12,100 yen, the optional set adds the Heavy Weapon System Type equipment to the separately sold METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> nu Gundam. The set includes the HWS armor and weapon parts, along with display and joint parts for the upgraded configuration.
The HWS was developed as an additional equipment plan for the nu Gundam during the Second Neo Zeon War. The concept was intended to increase the mobile suit's defensive and offensive capabilities if the conflict continued, adding armor, weapons, propellant capacity and additional thrusters.
The upgraded configuration features additional armor across the body, including leg armor equipped with thruster units to help compensate for the added weight. Its shoulder-mounted missile launchers provide additional firepower, while the Hyper Mega Rifle and High Mega Shield give the nu Gundam an even heavier arsenal.
The HWS equipment was also designed around the nu Gundam's Psycho-Frame system. Additional concepts for the configuration included expanded psycommu functions, an I-Field generator built into the chest armor and a full internal Psycho-Frame.
The new METAL ROBOT SPIRITS set includes the HWS Set, Display Parts Set and Joint Parts Set. The display parts stand approximately 150mm tall and are designed specifically to showcase the upgraded nu Gundam configuration.
